Laurie Hall, RScP, CPC, PSAP

Laurie is the past President of the Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists (APSATS). Founded by pioneers of the trauma approach for treating partners, APSATS trains and certifies Partner Specialists and advocates for the recovery and treatment needs of Partners of Sex Addicts.

She is the author or co-author of four books, including “An Affair of the Mind,” which sold more than 120,000 copies and was translated into three languages. In her work as a journalist, Laurie has published more than 500 articles in regional, national, and international publications. She has lectured nationally on sexuality, addiction, forgiveness, spirituality and ethics for the helping professional.

Laurie frequently writes about life coaching, addiction, divorce, forgiveness, infidelity, faith, divorce, resilience and online dating. She is particularly aware of the challenges faced by women divorcing after long-term marriages. Laurie has been a guest on more than 200 radio programs and a guest on a number of television programs.

Dr. Barbara Steffens, BCC, CCSAS, CCPS, CPC

Dr. Barbara Steffens has specialized in the area of sexual addiction and providing help for the partners of sexual addicts since 1999. Her book, "Your Sexually Addicted Spouse: How Partners Can Cope and Heal "(Steffens & Means, 2009), co-authored with Marsha Means, MA, is dramatically affecting change in the lives of those who are victims and the professionals who are trained to serve them. Published by New Horizon Press it’s now in its third printing.

In 2011, along with a small group of like-minded mental health professionals she founded the non-profit APSATS, the Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists, dedicated to the professional training and certification, public education, research, and advocacy for treatment of relational and betrayal trauma.

Speaking at international and national conferences on sexual addiction, and educating her peers on the traumatic effects disclosure of this addiction has on the partner, she is a recognized expert in this field.

From Nashville via I-40

Take I-40 West out of Nashville toward Dickson. Exit 172, turn left on Hwy 46 S. Go 6.5 miles and turn right on Hwy 100. Go a little over a mile and look for East Hickman County Middle School on your right and Subway on your left. Just after that you’ll see a sign that says to bear right for Lyles. “Lyles -->”. Turn right. Go about a mile or so through Lyles to stop sign at the railroad tracks. Turn left after you cross the railroad tracks. You’ll be on Pinewood road. Go a little less than 2 miles and turn right onto Woodland Park. Keep right where Woodland Park splits, then go left around the bend and then turn right onto Oak Springs Road. Go about a mile and a half on Oak Springs Road and turn right on Five Star Road (gravel road w/ 2 stone columns). Bear left at the bottom of the ridge, and go around the bend, then bear left up the hill, across the dam, then turn left to go to the Lodge.
